Every time I try to post to one of Google's blogs, for some reason it fails to save my input. But let's talk about SEO.
Why do we have Search Engines doing everything other than indexing the Internet? There should be no need for any form of SEO to get properly indexed by the SE's. Keyword stuffinig, H1 titles, anchors, and other SEO trickery is nothing but un-necessary expense and not necessary work for the web site owner.
For the Internet to be indexed properly, you have to recognize that it is necessary that ranking be placed upon the performance of the business involved, not the skills of your SEO employee. A web site regardless of topic or construction should be ranked equal to all the other sites for its topic. It should then be elevated in rank based upon positive testimony, BBB status, Association membership, awards received, and things like community involvement, and other recommendations. SEO ranking does absolutely nothing representative of the capabilities of the business associated with the web site. As a matter of fact, SEO ranking actually serves to mis-lead the consumer by their association that the highest ranking is the best.
We need to index the Internet based on integrity of the business, and not doing so is nothing less than defrauding the Consumer. This issue needs to be fixed. Sooner or later all these small business owners are going to tally up their SEO expense and realize they have been paying a small fortune to get their business ranked on the skillset of an SEO employee, not at all relevent to their business, and they are going to be pissed.
And, whomever takes the lead in indexing the Internet . . . It should be a requirement that they index the entire web regardless their rules for webmasters. Building web sites was intended to level the field between the corporate and small business. But, it has only stregnthed the corporate holdings because they can better afford to play SEO competitions.
